At Blueberry, responsible manufacturing isn't something we adopted to meet market demand.

How We Think About Sustainability

Our sustainability practices are organized across four interconnected areas: environmental practice, material responsibility, supply chain ethics, and people. True sustainability isn't just about what comes out of a factory; it also encompasses everything that goes into it, including the use of eco-friendly textiles and responsible manufacturing.

Four Areas. One Consistent Commitment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS

Our manufacturing partners work in controlled facilities designed for safety, clarity, and consistency, aligning with our commitment to responsible manufacturing. Production floors are kept clean and organized, with proper ventilation, lighting, and defined operating procedures to support eco-friendly textiles. Between stages, goods are moved using CNG or electric transport where feasible, reinforcing our sustainability practices. Processes are checked regularly, with multiple layers of quality and compliance review. From production through final packaging, each step is documented. Not to signal perfection, but to maintain traceability and keep improving how the work is done.

LABOUR INFO

WORKING CONDITIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS

Our approach to responsible manufacturing is straightforward. Work is carried out in compliance with applicable labour laws, with an emphasis on fairness, dignity, and clarity, reflecting our commitment to sustainability practices. There is zero tolerance for child or forced labour. Wages are paid fairly with statutory benefits, working hours are regulated, and overtime is compensated. Hiring and workplace practices are non-discriminatory, and freedom of association is respected. The working environment is kept safe and respectful, ensuring that all employees involved in producing our eco-friendly textiles work under secure conditions. Training is ongoing, with skills developed on the job.

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

Materials are sourced with care for impact and use, prioritizing eco-friendly textiles from suppliers who adhere to responsible manufacturing practices. This ensures that we do not compromise product performance while supporting sustainability practices.

Waste is managed through efficient material use, and our production choices reflect restraint. We plan movement between stages to minimize impact, utilizing CNG or electric transport whenever possible.

This approach is treated as an ongoing process. We continually review, adjust, and improve our decisions, ensuring accountability in how we choose materials and systems.

SUPPLIER CREDIBILITY

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

We collaborate with established textile mills and suppliers who are verified for their commitment to eco-friendly textiles, consistency, ethics, and operational discipline. Each partner is evaluated not only on product quality but also on their responsible manufacturing practices and how they maintain sustainability standards over time.

All production adheres to an AQL 2.5 quality control system, with checks implemented at multiple stages. Comprehensive records are maintained throughout the process, allowing any issues to be traced and addressed early.

Our focus extends beyond merely passing inspection; it is about instilling reliability, accountability, and trust throughout the entire process, from the first raw material to the final finished piece.

We are not a zero-carbon manufacturer and we won't claim to be. However, we are a manufacturer that takes carbon responsibility seriously, particularly in our commitment to eco-friendly textiles.

Our sustainability practices focus on operational efficiency, responsible energy sourcing where available, the reduction of waste-to-landfill, and supply chain decisions that consider the upstream carbon footprint. This reflects our dedication to responsible manufacturing.

This is an area of continuous improvement; we set honest benchmarks, track against them, and always ask where we can do better.

Fabric waste is an inherent challenge in garment manufacturing. We actively work to minimize it at every stage through precise cutting techniques, fabric utilization optimization, remnant repurposing where possible, and responsible disposal practices for what cannot be reused. Our commitment to eco-friendly textiles is reflected in our sustainability practices, as waste reduction is not a grand gesture for us but a daily operational discipline rooted in responsible manufacturing.

CELESTIAL COTTONS — SUSTAINABLE FIBER PORTFOLIO

Our luxury linen division works with a curated portfolio of fibers selected for their sustainability

Organic Cotton — Grown without synthetic pesticides, processed separately, and dyed to strict chemical-free standards, this eco-friendly textile ensures full traceability from field to finished product.

TENCEL™ (Lyocell) — Derived from wood pulp through a closed-loop manufacturing process that recovers and reuses solvents, this fiber has a significantly lower environmental footprint than conventional alternatives, reflecting responsible manufacturing practices.

Lenzing Modal® — Sourced from sustainably managed beech wood forests, it features full production control and eco-conscious processing at every stage, promoting sustainability practices.

Bamboo Fiber — Naturally antibacterial, this eco-friendly textile is grown without pesticides and processed to preserve the fiber's inherent environmental benefits.

Soy Protein Fiber — A renewable, agriculture-derived fiber that requires no additional chemicals to grow, it boasts an inherently low-impact footprint and silk-like softness, exemplifying responsible manufacturing.

Sorona® — A bio-based fiber that combines softness, stretch, and strength, it comes with a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to conventional synthetics, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability practices.

These are not just marketing fiber names; they represent deliberate material choices that emphasize the importance of sustainability and quality in the best textiles.

Where We Stand

We believe that honesty about sustainability practices is as crucial as sustainability itself. The textile industry is complex, resource-intensive, and deeply embedded in global supply chains that carry significant environmental costs. Any manufacturer who claims to have completely solved these issues is not being straight with you.

What we can assure you is this: every decision we make at Blueberry is filtered through a sustainability lens focused on responsible manufacturing. We have built our practices around genuine environmental responsibility, not just what sounds appealing in a brochure. We set benchmarks for eco-friendly textiles, track them diligently, and hold ourselves accountable for continuous improvement.
